About The Position

The Price Center is a dynamic and supportive community that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through our community day programs, community living programs, employer services programs, and more. We provide a nurturing environment where our participants can thrive and achieve their fullest potential. Our Residential Services program operates six homes in Newton where our team provides the individuals in these homes with a safe and comfortable environment. The Price Center is currently seeking Weekend Direct Care Professionals for our Residential Program. You will provide direct care and skill training to individuals in a residential setting to support daily living and social skills. The DCP provides assistance with personal care, medication administration, implementing approved treatment plans, preparing meals, attending recreational activities, exploring the community and general companionship.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school degree or GED.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift and support body weight of any program individual with the assistance of another employee.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a CLEAN driving record.
  • Willingness to use agency vehicle in the course of employment.
  • Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirement.
  • Must have MAP Certification (Medication Administration training).
  • Must have First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities
