About The Position

AWARE is hiring Direct Care Professionals to support children and adults with behavioral health needs and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services are provided using a trauma-informed care approach and AWARE’s Unconditional Care Philosophy. The role involves implementing individual support plans and helping individuals build skills and independence as part of a supportive, professional team. Full-time, part-time, and on-call/PRN positions are available, with days, evenings, overnights, and weekends offered.

Requirements

• Ability to implement individual support plans under AWARE’s Unconditional Care Philosophy, using knowledge of behavioral techniques, interventions, skill-building techniques, and the emotional and behavioral needs of individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability.
• Computer literacy, including the ability to navigate and record information using performance-based software and an electronic medical records system.
• Interpersonal oral and written communication skills to work as a team member, make and accurately report observations, learn resident care methods, and follow oral and written instructions.
• High school diploma or HSE.
• Past employment experience.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Montana Driver’s License.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Responsibilities
