About The Position

AWARE is hiring Direct Care Professionals for Residential Services in Missoula, Montana. The role supports people with disabilities and mental health needs in living the lives they choose. Day-to-day work may include helping someone get ready in the morning, cooking together, driving to appointments or work, supporting them through difficult moments, and documenting the day for the next person on shift. The job can be emotionally demanding, and AWARE emphasizes providing care without conditions attached. No prior caregiving experience is needed; training is provided. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with weekend overnight shifts in Intensive homes paying up to $28.00 per hour. Night, weekend, and Intensive pay are added to the base rate. Employees receive a 5% raise after their first year and another 5% after their second year. Applicants with four years of comparable experience start at $22.23 per hour. AWARE staffs around the clock, with day, evening, overnight, weekend, and weekend-only schedules available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be reliable and able to report for scheduled shifts.
Must be patient with people during difficult moments.
No degree, certification, or previous caregiving experience is required; training is provided.

Nice To Haves

Four years of comparable work experience qualifies an applicant to start at $22.23 per hour.
