About The Position

AWARE is hiring Direct Care Professionals for residential services. The role supports people with disabilities and mental health needs in living the lives they choose. Daily work may include helping someone get ready in the morning, preparing meals together, driving to appointments or work, supporting them through difficult moments, and documenting how the day went for the next shift. The job is described as meaningful and sometimes emotionally difficult, with an approach centered on providing care without conditions. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with no prior experience required. Weekend overnight shifts in Intensive homes pay up to $28.00 per hour, with night, weekend, and Intensive differentials stacking on top of the base rate. Employees receive a 5% raise after their first year and another 5% after their second year. Applicants with four years of comparable experience start at $22.23 per hour. Around-the-clock staffing includes day, evening, overnight, weekend, and weekend-only schedules.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Be able to pass a background check.
Be reliable and report for scheduled shifts.
Be patient with people on difficult days.
