About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) to support adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Aides help residents with activities of daily living and home care, including dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to medical appointments. No experience is necessary; paid training is provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome.

Full-time shifts are available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Part-time hours are also available, with flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be able to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a home health aide, nurse’s aide, support assistant, or direct support professional.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve meals.
• Clean the house.
• Shop for groceries and supplies.
• Assist with personal care, such as grooming and bathing.
• Administer medication.
• Assist individuals with attaining their goals.
• Support community outings and recreational activities.
• Assist residents with daily activities, including dressing and transportation to doctor appointments.
