Direct Care Aide
About The Position
Lifesteps is hiring a Direct Care Aide to work with adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in the Homer City, Pennsylvania area. Direct Care Aides, also called caregivers, assist individuals with daily living skills and home care, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, personal care assistance, medication administration, and goal attainment. No experience is necessary, and paid training is provided. Experienced home health aides and direct support professionals are welcome. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across the 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. shifts. Lifesteps is a local human service agency that has been in business for over 100 years.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Must be able to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Responsibilities
