About The Position

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aides in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The role provides essential support and care to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life. Aides assist with personal care, daily activities, meals, medication reminders, and maintaining a safe living environment. They follow individualized care plans and company procedures, report changes in clients’ condition or behavior to supervisory staff, and provide companionship and emotional support.

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct care or a related field is a plus but is not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy.
• Reliable transportation to and from clients’ homes.
• Background check clearance as required by company policy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with administering medications as needed.
