About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring Direct Care Aides to support adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in Washington, Pennsylvania. Aides assist individuals with activities of daily living and home care, including dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to medical appointments. No experience is necessary, and paid training is provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome. Full-time hours are available with a varying schedule; part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be able to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a home health aide, nurse’s aide, support assistant, or direct support professional.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve meals.
• Clean the house.
• Shop for groceries and supplies.
• Provide personal care assistance, including grooming and bathing.
• Administer medication.
• Assist individuals with attaining personal goals.
• Support community outings and recreational activities.
• Assist with daily activities such as dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to doctor appointments.
