About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) to work with adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania. The role provides assistance with activities of daily living and home care, including dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to doctor appointments. Lifesteps provides paid training, and no prior experience is necessary. Full-time and part-time hours are available, with flexible scheduling. Listed shifts include daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and overnight hours from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a home health aide, nurse’s aide, support assistant, or direct support professional is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with disabilities with activities of daily living and home care.
• Cook and serve meals.
• Clean the house.
• Shop for groceries and supplies.
• Provide personal care assistance, such as grooming and bathing.
• Administer medication.
• Assist individuals with attaining personal goals.
• Support community outings and fun activities.
• Transport individuals to doctor appointments.
