About The Position
The Direct Care Aide provides compassionate and dignified care while guiding residents through activities of daily living. The role connects with residents and family members to create a positive experience, participates in ongoing learning and development, and protects the confidentiality and privacy of resident information. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Completion of a 40-hour DCA or PCA training course approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and dignified care while guiding residents through activities of daily living.
- Connect with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience.
- Attend and participate in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences.
- Comply with rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
