About The Position
The Direct Care Aide provides compassionate and dignified care to residents, guiding them through activities of daily living. The role connects with residents and family members to create positive experiences and participates in ongoing learning and development. This is a PRN position at Bellaire at Stone Port in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with a stated hourly pay rate of $17.25.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Completion of a 40-hour DCA or PCA training course approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and dignified care while guiding residents through activities of daily living.
- Connect with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner to create a lasting, positive experience.
- Attend and participate in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences.
- Comply with rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
