Dining Services - Manager in Training
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Dining Services Manager in Training to learn how to manage a dining services account in a healthcare setting. The paid, structured 16-week program combines hands-on and computer-based training to prepare participants to manage and oversee dining services. The role supports meal preparation and service, quality control, compliance with health and sanitation standards, staff development, inventory, and customer service for residents, staff, and guests. The position requires residency within the service area and compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in dining services or hospitality preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM), Food Service Manager (FSM), Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM), and CDM,CFPP certifications during the development program where required by state regulations.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks for extended periods.
- Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing dining services operations, including meal preparation, service, and quality control.
- Learn to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Participate in staff training, development, and scheduling.

- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
