About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to join our team at The Castlewood in Nixa, Missouri. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the dining room is immaculate and that residents receive impeccable service. The role involves creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for residents, preparing tables and food items, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. We are looking for an individual with a positive and energetic attitude, who is at least 18 years old, and has previous experience leading a hospitality team. Knowledge of resident care requirements and a food server permit are necessary. The ability to communicate effectively in English and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds is essential. The ideal candidate must be criminally cleared and in good health, with a recent health screening and tuberculosis test.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect.
  • Providing impeccable service to residents.
  • Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
  • Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
  • Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Preparing tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
