About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to join our team at The Castlewood, a senior living community. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring an impeccable dining experience for residents, fostering a welcoming and engaging environment, and maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area. The role involves direct interaction with residents, preparation of dining areas and food items, and communication with supervisors regarding resident well-being. Arrow Senior Living manages a collection of senior living communities that offer varying levels of care including independent living, assisted living, and memory care in 34 properties currently in 6 states (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Arkansas) and employs nearly 2,200 employees! Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the dining room looks perfect and the service residents receive is impeccable.
  • Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
  • Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
  • Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
