About The Position

Luxury Senior Living Communities in Coral Gables, Kendall & Homestead are looking for a Dining Room Manager for its Palace Renaissance & Royale Assisted Living & Catered Living Community. This community is CARF Accredited and was rated #1 in the US of all communities surveyed by CARF in 2016. The primary focus of this role is to assist the Director of Food Services in managing the dining room and bar operations, including planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating, training staff, and inventory control.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in food service and in supervising dining room staff.
• Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.

• Responsible, always on time, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented.
• Flexible as to work schedule.
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and supervising dining room waiters and waitresses.
• Assist with orientation and training of new waiters and waitresses.
• Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
• Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
• Ability to promote and execute our culture of “Yes”.
