About The Position

The Dining Room Manager oversees all dining room operations and staff, ensuring excellent service and compliance with dietary standards. Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services, this role develops a positive customer service culture, manages scheduling and labor costs, and supports training and development of dining staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years’ food service experience
  • Management experience required
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems
  • Experience with basic mixology
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure
  • Compassion for and desire to work with older adults

Nice To Haves

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor dining room staff to provide excellent resident experiences
  • Ensure service efficiency and quality during all meal periods
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment
  • Manage scheduling to meet labor budgets and operational needs
  • Support hiring, performance evaluations, and coaching of dining staff
  • Obtain ServSafe Manager certification
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and address feedback to improve service
  • Enforce safety and compliance standards within the dining room
  • Foster teamwork and positive workplace culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned
