About The Position

La Cumbre is looking for a hands-on, hospitality-driven leader to run its front-of-house dining operation. This is a floor-level leadership role with real room to grow in one of Santa Barbara’s most storied private clubs. The ideal candidate will greet members by name, assist with tasks during busy periods, and be passionate about team development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of dining room or F&B leadership experience; private club background a plus.
  • A servant-leader mindset — no task beneath you, no team member left behind.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay cool under pressure.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Nice To Haves

  • Wine knowledge and tableside service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a service team that takes pride in craft — recruiting, training, and coaching every day.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, manage daily front-of-house operations, and keep standards high.
  • Stay visible on the floor, building genuine relationships with members and guests.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless, polished service.
  • Execute memorable events — wine dinners, golf tournaments, holiday celebrations, and more.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
