About The Position

The Dining Attendant delivers friendly and efficient dining service in a variety of roles, including server, buffet attendant, dishwasher, or serving residents in Health Services. The position requires adherence to dietary requirements and therapeutic needs, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and following food safety guidelines, including HACCP and NYS DOH standards. The attendant helps create a positive dining experience through attentive, courteous service and operates a cash register as needed. The position is per-diem, with weekdays and hours varying based on department needs. Pay is $19.12–$20.57 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Friendly, courteous, and helpful attitude, with a clean and neat appearance.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient service as a server, buffet attendant, dishwasher, or by serving residents in Health Services.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation and comply with food safety guidelines, including HACCP and NYS DOH standards.
