About The Position

This role involves digital treatment planning for dental cases, primarily focusing on entry-level complexity. The Digital Treatment Planner will utilize specialized software to plan treatments, evaluate scans, and provide surgical plans to doctors. The position also includes customer service responsibilities, managing cases through the production flow, and performing administrative tasks to maintain data security and integrity. A portion of the role also involves production duties, such as processing digital orders, reviewing and repairing CAD files, and scanning impressions or models.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of dental experience.
  • Implant experience, required.

Nice To Haves

  • RDA, DA, or CDT preferred.
  • Dental CAD/CAM experience, preferred.
  • RealGUIDE, CoDiagnostics and/or 3 Shape Implant Studio (or equivalent) experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan entry-level complexity cases, including tooth-borne cases with minimal x-ray scatter, no anatomy concerns, and primarily single-tooth to up to 3 units in one quarter.
  • Verify prescription product and information, such as implant, system, size, and Surgical Kit.
  • Evaluate cases thoroughly and advise doctors on the most beneficial products for their needs.
  • Utilize CBCT/CT data, IOS data, and digital treatment planning software (RealGUIDE).
  • Evaluate alignment of scans for planning feasibility before implant placement.
  • Deliver PDF reports of surgical plans to doctors for review and advise on procedures with guidance from team members.
  • Resolve inquiries pertaining to guided surgery.
  • Provide digital treatment planning information.
  • Ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Provide online consultation for treatment planning as needed.
  • Triage cases into the production flow in a prompt manner.
  • Create folders in the shared drive.
  • Maintain notes in GCX (Glidewell Customer Experience).
  • Track all cases to ensure schedule is adhered to.
  • Maintain security and integrity of digital Rx, MyAccount portal, share drive, and digital treatment planning (DTP) customer folders following the DTP standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Act as a liaison between the Customer Service department, customers, and internal departments and divisions.
  • Generate and maintain reports as needed.
  • Process digital orders once electronic files are received, including those from IOS, My Account, or other customer programs.
  • Review and convert modeless scans from intraoral scanners (IOS).
  • Repair CAD files that cannot be imported due to improper scans or generate errors upon importing.
  • Scan impression and/or models as needed.
  • Clean and post-print-process surgical guides as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.
