Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Digital Technology Consultant to serve as a task lead on its Digital Solutions team. The role develops digital technology strategies, evaluates and implements technology solutions, and helps water and wastewater clients advance digital objectives. Areas of work include data management, business intelligence and dashboarding, enterprise reporting, AI-enabled solutions, system integration, and digital transformation. The consultant assesses clients’ data environments, digital systems, reporting capabilities, and business processes to identify improvement opportunities and future-state requirements. The role applies recognized data management and governance practices, including DAMA-DMBOK principles, to assess data capabilities, define governance approaches, improve data quality and accessibility, and create practical roadmaps that maximize the value of client data assets. Work is performed independently with limited supervision, with occasional guidance on complex or strategic issues. The role also supports client engagement and business development, including developing concepts into projects, prepositioning ahead of RFP releases, preparing RFP responses, and creating scopes of work and fee estimates. The candidate may be located in the Pacific or Mountain time zones; the preferred location is near a Northern California office, such as Walnut Creek, San Francisco, San Jose, or Sacramento.
