Digital Solutions Engineer
About The Position
This is a national expert role for middleware, connectivity, and cybersecurity across the portfolio of a global leader in hemostasis diagnostics. The position is the technical backbone of their digital ecosystem, shaping how every customer gets connected and secured. It offers a national-impact role setting the standard for middleware installs, rule development, and digital escalations. It is a remote position, with candidates ideally based near Tampa, FL. The role owns the digital workstream from pre-sale demos through go-live and stabilization, and provides a direct line to Product Management to shape the digital roadmap.
Requirements
- Hands-on middleware experience in a clinical laboratory or IVD vendor setting
- Fluency in HL7/ASTM, network configuration, virtualization, and database structures
- Able to travel up to 60%, including occasional international trips
Responsibilities
- Leading middleware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting across ASTM/HL7 interfaces
- Authoring and optimizing expert rules that outperform LIS-native engines
- Serving as the national Tier-2 escalation point for connectivity and rule issues
- Partnering with the cybersecurity team on risk assessments and mitigation plans
- Building playbooks and training internal teams on Tier-1 support
