About The Position

James Hardie is seeking a Product Manager to lead the vision, execution, and continuous improvement of its customer-facing applications, including AZEKNow, branded applications, visualizers, and pro match experiences. These applications influence product discovery, customer confidence, lead quality, and conversion across homeowner and professional journeys. The role provides accountable product leadership for a portfolio that has previously been managed across multiple requests, teams, and delivery motions. This is a product management role focused on defining customer problems and business opportunities, setting product vision and value cases, and governing what is built and why. The role partners with Sales, Customer Experience, IT, and Marketing, as well as the project management office and Finance, to align outcomes, scope, funding, and value realization. Product ownership translates direction into stories and sprint sequencing, while IT owns architecture, security, and development. The Product Manager owns and evolves a portfolio roadmap, prioritizes across products, encourages component and pattern reuse, defines phased releases, and governs intake so new customer-facing tools are managed as products. The role gives product ownership the context, acceptance criteria, and priorities needed to maintain a healthy backlog; partners with IT on feasibility, complexity, integrations, and release planning; and reviews delivered outcomes using Jira and Workfront. The role is accountable for product outcomes as well as releases. It defines product KPIs, ensures instrumentation before launch, monitors adoption, engagement, and quality after releases, and uses data to guide ongoing optimization. It reports portfolio performance and return on investment to Digital Experience and business leadership. Expected outcomes include high-quality releases, improved engagement and task completion, better lead quality and conversion, healthy product practices and backlogs, and greater integration and reuse across the ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in digital product management or product ownership, including ownership of product direction and rationale, not only backlog management.
  • Experience owning more than one product at a time and prioritizing across products.
  • Proven experience with agile delivery, roadmap planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Jira, backlog refinement, user acceptance testing coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Practical analytics skills, including defining KPIs, interpreting data, and acting on findings.
  • Strong user empathy and an interest in turning insights into product solutions.
  • Ability to maintain prioritization decisions with senior business stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, building products, or business-to-business and business-to-business-to-consumer platforms.
  • Background with contractor or dealer engagement platforms, loyalty tools, or lead-matching products.
  • Familiarity with visualizers, configurators, CRM touchpoints, or customer data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define the customer problems and business opportunities the customer-facing product portfolio should address.
  • Own the product vision and value case for major initiatives.
  • Align Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience around shared outcomes.
  • Partner with the project management office and Finance on scope, funding, and value realization.
  • Own and evolve the roadmap for AZEKNow and the wider customer-facing application portfolio.
  • Prioritize across products and promote reuse of shared components and patterns.
  • Define phased releases with clear scope, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Govern intake so new customer-facing tools are managed as products rather than one-off project requests.
  • Provide product ownership with context, acceptance criteria, and priorities to maintain a healthy backlog.
  • Partner with IT on feasibility, complexity, integrations, and release planning before commitments are made.
  • Review delivered outcomes against intent using Jira and Workfront as the system of record.
  • Define KPIs for each product and connect them to lead quality, conversion, and engagement.
  • Ensure instrumentation is in place before launch; monitor adoption, engagement, and quality after releases and act on the data.
  • Report portfolio performance and return on investment to Digital Experience and business leadership.
  • Drive outcomes including high-quality releases, improved engagement and task completion, better lead quality and conversion, healthy product practices and team alignment, and increased cross-platform integration and reuse.
