About The Position

The Digital Print Operator 2 operates inkjet, laser, xerographic, or offset duplicating printers. The operator prepares jobs by RIPing files or reviewing job instructions, sets up and programs jobs, and releases them from the print queue. The position monitors printed output for correctness and image quality and may adjust image position, perforations, and folds. It also maintains production logs and delivery manifests and orders printing supplies as needed. This is a third-shift position, scheduled from 10:00 p.m. to 6:15 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
Knowledge of standard equipment setups, adjustments, and operating characteristics.
Skill in performing standard equipment adjustments and operating the equipment.
Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to equipment according to job requirements and equipment capabilities.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Repetitive hand motion is required.
Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate inkjet, laser, xerographic, or offset duplicating printers.
RIP files or review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing.
Set up, program, and release jobs from the print queue.
Adjust image position, perforations, and folds on paper as needed.
Monitor job output for correctness and image quality.
Maintain daily print job production logs and delivery manifests.
Order ink, chemical solutions, blankets, rollers, paper, tabs, and other supplies as needed.
Set up, operate, and perform routine basic adjustments to equipment according to job requirements and equipment capabilities.
