About The Position

The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for executing and optimizing the organization's digital marketing and communications efforts across web, email, paid media, digital platforms and other online channels. This position combines hands-on digital execution with strategic thinking, using audience insights, performance data and marketing best practices to strengthen engagement, increase awareness and support organizational goals. Working collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team, the Digital Marketing Strategist helps transform organizational priorities, events, programs and initiatives into effective digital campaigns. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a skilled implementer who can manage day-to-day digital platforms while continually identifying opportunities to improve how the organization reaches and engages its audiences. This role is well suited for someone who can move comfortably between updating a webpage, building an email campaign, launching a Meta advertisement, reviewing analytics and recommending how a future campaign can perform better.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, digital communications or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience managing email marketing campaigns, website content and paid digital advertising.
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, website content management systems and digital analytics tools.
  • Understanding of digital marketing metrics, audience segmentation, conversion tracking and campaign optimization.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and digital content best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into practical marketing recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least three years of related digital marketing or digital communications experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute audience-focused digital strategies and campaigns that support churchwide priorities, events and initiatives across multiple digital channels.
  • Manage and optimize website content to ensure it is accurate, engaging, user-friendly and aligned with marketing and organizational objectives.
  • Manage email marketing and digital communications with a focus on audience segmentation, engagement, performance and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, execute and optimize paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta and Google to increase awareness, engagement and conversions.
  • Analyze digital performance and audience behavior to provide actionable recommendations that improve campaigns, strengthen engagement and support audience growth.
  • Oversee assigned digital distribution channels and collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to execute integrated campaigns while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
