About The Position

Barge Design Solutions is seeking a motivated and dedicated college student for a summer internship opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the digital IT field. This role involves exploring emerging technologies, supporting the research and development of digital solutions, assisting with prototypes and pilots, identifying workflow improvements, documenting processes, and collaborating with technical and business teams. The intern will contribute to Digital team project deliverables and support new ideas and innovations.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited university
Major: Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Current GPA of 3.0 or higher
Interest in emerging technology, innovation, automation, and digital transformation
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

Exploring emerging technologies and their potential applications within an engineering and architecture organization
Supporting the research, development, and testing of innovative digital solutions
Assisting with prototypes, proofs of concept, process automation, and technology pilots
Identifying opportunities to improve workflows and business processes through technology
Supporting the evaluation and implementation of new digital tools
Documenting solutions, processes, testing results, and recommendations
Collaborating with technical and business teams to understand challenges and develop potential solutions
Supporting Digital team project deliverables and collaborating on new ideas and innovations
