About The Position

The Digital Content Creator supports the development and delivery of high-quality visual content that enhances brand presence and engages audiences across digital platforms. The role focuses on executing creative concepts aligned with established brand standards and current digital trends. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the position contributes to the implementation of campaigns and content initiatives. Emphasis is placed on producing engaging, accessible, and inclusive content that reflects organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in media, film, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working with videography, photography, and video and photo editing (portfolio required).
  • Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Lightroom; After Effects an asset).
  • Strong understanding of current trends on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Strong storytelling, composition, and visual editing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver content efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to travel across the GTA.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and building a sense of belonging.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating content for lifestyle, community, or nonprofit organizations is an asset.
  • Adobe Photoshop and drone videography experience would be an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications, Programs, and design teams to develop content briefs and creative concepts for compelling, inclusive, and engaging visual storytelling.
  • Ensure all content aligns with YMCA brand identity and visual standards.
  • Audit and review existing video and photo libraries to identify high-value opportunities for reuse.
  • Plan, capture, and edit high-quality video and photography content for digital platforms (social, web, etc.).
  • Produce short-form videos optimized for Facebook and Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Adapt and optimize content for multiple platforms and formats.
  • Edit and repurpose legacy content into new, campaign-ready assets.
  • Deliver final, publish-ready assets aligned to campaign timelines and objectives.
  • Capture the energy, tone, and voice of YMCA of Greater Toronto, from participant experiences and program highlights to events.
  • Ensure all content complies with copyright and YMCA photo and video consent policies.
  • Tag and maintain digital assets within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
