KnightscopeSunnyvale, CA
Onsite

About The Position

Knightscope is a security technology company focused on building the Nation’s First Autonomous Security Force (ASF) by combining autonomous machines, advanced software, and human expertise to protect people, property, and critical infrastructure. Their long-term mission is to make the United States the safest country in the world. Knightscope is seeking a Content Creator to develop fresh, on-brand content that promotes Knightscope’s brand and the ASF narrative across major digital channels. This role reports to the Senior Creative Director and will manage daily content production for platforms like LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, while also establishing a live streaming presence on Twitch and other emerging platforms. The Content Creator will be instrumental in repositioning Knightscope from a robotics company to a premium Managed Security Services Provider, supporting key marketing initiatives such as a new Podcast Studio One, website redesign, and flagship industry events. This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role for a digital storyteller who will manage the entire content lifecycle, from concept and script to shoot, edit, publish, and analysis. The role involves creating social copy, short-form vertical video, long-form content, and operating live streams from HQ and on the road. The Content Creator will collaborate with the Senior Creative Director and cross-functional teams (executive, sales, investor relations) to translate Knightscope’s mission into engaging content for enterprise security buyers, industry operators, investors, and the public. Significant travel (6–10 trips per year, in-state and out-of-state) to trade shows, client events, and investor engagements is required, with all expenses paid. The position is full-time and on-site at Knightscope HQ in Sunnyvale, CA, with a minimum 40-hour work week.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of hands-on content creation experience in an agency, in-house brand, creator-economy, or comparable role, with a portfolio of published work and demonstrated account or channel growth.
  • Platform-native fluency across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, including an understanding of algorithmic behavior, post formats, and audience dynamics unique to each channel.
  • End-to-end video production skills, including shooting with mirrorless cameras, basic lighting and audio capture, and professional editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Proficiency with short-form vertical editing tools such as CapCut, and working knowledge of motion-graphics basics in Adobe After Effects or Premiere-native templates.
  • Hands-on live-streaming experience with OBS Studio, Streamlabs, or similar, including scene construction, audio routing, overlays, and multi-platform simulcasting via tools such as Restream or StreamYard.
  • Working proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and with production-grade template tools such as Canva Pro or Figma for volume asset creation.
  • Strong copywriting and scriptwriting skills, with demonstrated ability to adopt and sustain a specific brand voice across posts, videos, and long-form content.
  • Experience with native platform analytics, Google Analytics 4, UTM tracking, and a social-management platform such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, or Buffer.
  • Comfort working with AI content tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Descript, ElevenLabs, or equivalents) to accelerate drafting, editing, and ideation while maintaining editorial quality.
  • Excellent project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent productions, meet deadlines, and hit publish cadence under pressure.
  • Willingness and availability to travel 6–10 times per year, in-state and out-of-state, and to work a minimum 40-hour week on-site at Knightscope HQ in Sunnyvale, CA.
  • Ability to pass a standard background check, consistent with Knightscope’s operating environment as a security technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, produce, and publish daily content across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, ensuring every post reflects the Autonomous Security Force messaging framework and brand standards.
  • Shoot and edit short-form vertical video (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and long-form video (YouTube) featuring Knightscope technology, teammates, clients, and events.
  • Produce, host, and/or operate live streams on Twitch, YouTube Live, LinkedIn Live, and other platforms, including setup of scenes, overlays, audio, and multi-platform simulcasting.
  • Support Podcast Studio One operations, including pre-production, in-studio capture, editing, episode publishing, and multi-channel promotion.
  • Travel 6–10 times per year to trade shows (including GSX), client sites, investor events, and marketing activations to capture and produce on-site content under tight turnaround windows.
  • Write on-brand social copy, video scripts, captions, titles, thumbnails, and descriptions that apply Knightscope’s voice, terminology, and “Say This / Not That” messaging standards.
  • Maintain a rolling content calendar, coordinate review and approval cycles, and ensure on-time delivery tied to the 2026 Campaign Timeline and earnings-related events.
  • Monitor performance across platforms using native analytics including HubSpot, report on engagement, growth, and content-attributed traffic, and translate insights into continuous improvement.
  • Monitor comments, mentions, and DMs across channels, engage the community in Knightscope’s voice, and escalate customer, investor, or press inquiries to the appropriate team.
  • Track emerging platforms, formats, and creator tools, piloting new approaches that keep Knightscope’s content ahead of the curve in a fast-moving digital landscape.
  • Adhere to disclosure, confidentiality, and communications guidelines appropriate for a publicly traded company, coordinating closely with the Senior Creative Director and CEO on sensitive content.
