About The Position

The Digital Banking Systems Analyst Intern supports the technology and systems behind Rockland Trust’s customer-facing digital banking experiences. Working as part of the Digital Operations & Analytics Team, the intern collaborates with the Digital Banking Analyst Manager and professionals across Digital Banking, Information Technology, Operations, and vendor partners. The role provides exposure to online and mobile banking, bill pay services, digital banking platforms, banking technology, system management, data analysis, and digital product support.

The intern also participates in a collaborative summer project with other interns, addressing a real business challenge, developing recommendations, and presenting findings to organizational leadership. The internship is designed to build technical and professional skills and provide practical experience relevant to technology, analytics, financial services, product management, and operations careers.

Requirements

• Be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Excel for data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, formulas, or charts.
• Coursework or project experience involving data analysis, information systems, programming, or business technology.
• Exposure to application testing, troubleshooting, or technical support through coursework, internships, student organizations, or extracurricular activities.
• Interest in digital banking, financial technology (FinTech), banking operations, or business systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supporting and monitoring digital banking systems, including online and mobile banking platforms.
• Research, document, and troubleshoot system issues and support requests.
• Participate in system testing for upgrades, enhancements, and new features.
• Analyze data and help prepare reports and operational metrics using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, and reference materials.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives related to digital banking and banking technology.
• Collaborate with Digital Banking, Information Technology, and other departments to understand how digital systems support customer and business needs.
• Gain exposure to vendor relationships, system management, and technology operations in a regulated banking environment.
• Participate in collaborative summer intern projects, including solving a real business challenge and presenting findings to organizational leadership.
