Digital Banking Product Manager

FAIRWINDS Credit Union•University, FL

About The Position

The Digital Banking Product Manager owns the prioritized roadmap and backlog for FAIRWINDS Credit Union’s consumer and business digital banking experiences. The role turns member needs, business priorities, data, and emerging technology into improvements by defining requirements, making prioritization decisions, and partnering with the digital banking platform vendor. The position defines what should be built, why it matters, what success looks like, and how completed work will be validated; it does not configure the platform directly. The manager works across the organization and with the platform vendor to shape delivery. Responsibilities include maintaining product documentation, evaluating releases and completed work, gathering member and business-member feedback, defining success measures, and ensuring requirements address regulatory, security, legal, and accessibility expectations. The role also serves as a requirements decision-maker during platform conversions and escalates significant risks or delivery concerns. FAIRWINDS Credit Union is headquartered in Orlando and describes its mission as changing members’ lives on the journey to financial freedom. It highlights a culture based on integrity, accountability, and teamwork, and states that it has served members for more than 70 years.

  • 4–6 years of experience in digital product management, business analysis, digital channel management, or a similar role within financial services.
  • Experience owning and prioritizing a product backlog and moving platform changes through requirements, testing, and release.
  • Experience working directly with a technology vendor on product roadmaps, enhancements, releases, or platform capabilities.
  • Understanding of consumer and business digital banking capabilities, such as online and mobile banking, digital account opening, bill pay, person-to-person payments, remote deposit, funds transfers, wires, ACH origination, entitlements, and cash management.

  • Collaborative, organized, curious, and comfortable balancing member experience, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and technology constraints.

  • Define success measures for material digital banking changes and partner with the Digital Banking Performance Analyst to assess results.
  • Conduct member and business-member journey mapping and gather member feedback through surveys, focus sessions, and member-facing crewmembers.
  • Partner with Compliance, Information Security, and Legal to address regulatory, disclosure, security, and accessibility expectations, including Regulation E and WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Develop business cases for custom development, including potential vendor APIs or software development kits, and move approved requests through the enterprise application development process.
  • Maintain product documentation, including requirements, decision logs, and release notes.
  • Serve as a key requirements decision-maker during platform conversions and participate in design, testing, and readiness activities.
  • Escalate significant risks, unresolved defects, or delivery concerns with an explanation of impact and a recommended path forward.
