About The Position

Under the direction of the manager Interprofessional Practice, the Dietitian is responsible for managing the nutrition care of patients. This includes nutritional assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, diet counselling, evaluation of care and arrangement for follow-up care. The incumbent acts as a nutrition consultant to other members of the health care team, shares department responsibilities and provides education experiences for dietetic interns. The caseload for this position will include adult acute care. This position will support LTC.

Requirements

• Dietetic Internship certificate
• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr))
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Current Canadian Food Safety Certification
• Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Dietitian experience
• Experience with acute care patients in a hospital setting
• Pediatric Clinical Nutrition experience
• Experience in nutrition support
• Acute care adult and pediatric clinical nutrition experience
• Experience as a staff dietitian
