About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a PRN Dietitian at Thomas Hospital, a 189-bed hospital in Fairhope, Alabama. The position supports three medical/surgical floors, one cardiac floor, one stepdown unit, two ICUs, and one inpatient rehabilitation facility. The schedule is PRN, as needed.

The Clinical Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working collaboratively to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care. The role includes clinical assessments and individualized care planning, nutrition education, use of current research and facility protocols, participation in quality improvement initiatives, collaboration with food service management, and support for staff and dietetic interns as applicable.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
• Licensed Dietitian, or willing to obtain licensure, in the state of practice as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Apply current research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols.
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives to advance patient care and clinical excellence.
• Partner with the food service management team to support patient satisfaction and service goals.
• Support staff and dietetic interns through education and training, as applicable.
