About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a PRN Registered Dietitian for an inpatient acute care setting at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical in Bangor, Maine. The Clinical Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition education, working collaboratively to support patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care. The schedule is generally 1–3 days per week plus one weekend day per month. The hourly pay range is $29.00–$35.00, based on experience. The role includes access to RDN-focused career growth programs, free continuing education units through a nutrition education webinar series, ongoing resources and development, and opportunities for advancement. The dietitian has autonomy to apply clinical judgment with guidance available as needed.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or eligible to take the CDR exam.
- Licensed Dietitian, or willing to obtain licensure, in the state of practice as applicable.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
- Provide nutrition and lifestyle education to patients, families, staff, and the community.
- Apply current research in accordance with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols.
- Contribute to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives to advance patient care and clinical excellence.
- Partner with the food service management team to support patient satisfaction and service goals.
- Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training, as applicable.
