About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring an Adult Inpatient PRN Registered Dietitian to support patient care at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. The position is based in an acute-care setting at a level one trauma center within the University of Virginia Health System, which includes a 675-bed inpatient facility and more than 35 outpatient clinics. The nutrition team includes more than 90 Morrison Healthcare dietitians. Assignments and hours may vary according to departmental needs and the dietitian’s experience, interests, and clinical expertise. The role offers an opportunity to maintain or expand clinical nutrition experience in a dynamic health system. Dietitians at the health system may participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and pursue leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education is available through the nutrition team and health system.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments.
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Monitor patients’ nutrition.
- Educate patients and caregivers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
