About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health). This position will cover a growing Pediatric GI Clinic. UTMB Health operates four campuses and includes a Level 1 Trauma Center, Blocker Burn Unit, Level 4 NICU, pediatric specialties, transplant services, a certified comprehensive stroke center, TDCJ prison hospital, and magnet recognition. Growth in operational beds and clinical programs is planned for all campuses.

Requirements

  • Be a Registered Dietitian
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire.
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
  • 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Pediatric GI is preferred.
  • Utilize electronic medical records within the practice environment and be familiar with the Nutrition Care Process & Model and Epic Electronic System (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Experience in Pediatric GI is preferred.
  • Areas of focus in this clinic include Short gut, IBD, low FODMAP, Nutrition Support, EOE, gastroparesis, as well as other GI related diet and conditions.
  • Experience coordinating with DMEs and WIC for LOMN, CCP, Title 19s preferred.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes on an ongoing basis.
  • Participate in departmental, clinical, and other meetings related to areas of practice.
  • Support Clinical Nutrition Manager in continuing to grow program offers through project work.
  • Utilize electronic medical records within the practice environment and be familiar with the Nutrition Care Process & Model and Epic Electronic System (preferred).
