About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health). This position will cover a growing Pediatric GI Clinic. UTMB Health operates four campuses and includes a Level 1 Trauma Center, Blocker Burn Unit, Level 4 NICU, pediatric specialties, transplant services, a certified comprehensive stroke center, TDCJ prison hospital, and magnet recognition. Growth in operational beds and clinical programs is planned for all campuses.

Requirements

Be a Registered Dietitian
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire.
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Pediatric GI is preferred.
Utilize electronic medical records within the practice environment and be familiar with the Nutrition Care Process & Model and Epic Electronic System (preferred).

Responsibilities

Experience in Pediatric GI is preferred.
Areas of focus in this clinic include Short gut, IBD, low FODMAP, Nutrition Support, EOE, gastroparesis, as well as other GI related diet and conditions.
Experience coordinating with DMEs and WIC for LOMN, CCP, Title 19s preferred.
Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes on an ongoing basis.
Participate in departmental, clinical, and other meetings related to areas of practice.
Support Clinical Nutrition Manager in continuing to grow program offers through project work.
