About The Position

The Dietary Supervisor plans, organizes, develops, and supervises the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, the organization’s policies and procedures, and directions from the Administrator. The role ensures residents receive quality food service and nutritional care at all times. Requirements

2–3 years of experience in a dietary supervisory capacity in an acute or long-term care environment.
Supervisory experience.
Knowledge of dietary procedures and related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to hospitals and long-term care.
Valid and current license or certification as required by state law.
Completion of a state-approved Serve Safe program.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, or related areas.
Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field.
