About The Position

Carl Junction is seeking a Dietary Cook to complete kitchen duties during the weekend shift. The organization is family owned and provides a home for adults with mental illness, with a focus on improving residents’ quality of life. The Dietary Cook must be self-motivated and energetic and perform duties in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
Serve residents in a timely and polite manner while following safety and sanitation guidelines.
Store food properly and clean equipment, the kitchen, and the dining area using safety and infection-control procedures.
Use equipment, supplies, and dietary goods properly.
Maintain a safe work environment by following safety practices and immediately reporting safety concerns or issues to the Facility Administrator.
Participate in staff development and attend in-service training.
Promote a positive work atmosphere through behavior and communication that support cooperation and teamwork with co-workers, supervisors, residents, and visitors, in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
