About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Cook in a long-term care facility, preparing nutritious meals for residents and helping enhance their dining experiences. The role involves preparing and cooking meals according to planned menus and recipes, maintaining food quality and kitchen sanitation, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. Weekend availability is required, and the position is for full-time AM shifts. The pay rate is $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Pay may vary based on objective factors, including location, years of experience, staffing needs, and other business reasons. Residency within the service area is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods and perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by State/County law.
Residency within the service area.
Weekend availability.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or in scratch food preparation is highly preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
