About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Cook preparing and cooking nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role involves preparing meals according to planned menus and recipes, ensuring food quality and presentation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean kitchen, assisting with inventory and supplies, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The position is full time and requires availability for AM shifts and weekends. Pay is USD $19.00–$20.00 per hour; wages may vary based on location, experience, staffing needs, and other business factors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or scratch food preparation is highly preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.

Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
