About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role contributes to resident and customer experiences by preparing meals according to planned menus and recipes, maintaining food quality and kitchen cleanliness, and providing positive service to residents, staff, and guests. The position pays USD $19.00–$21.00 per hour. Pay may vary based on location, years of experience, staffing needs, and other business factors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Residency within the service area is required.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by State/County law.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
