About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role involves preparing and cooking meals according to planned menus and recipes, maintaining food quality and presentation, and following food safety and sanitation practices. The Cook also supports inventory and supply ordering and provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The listed schedule is part time: Friday and Saturday on the AM shift, and Sunday and Monday on the second shift. The pay range is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, with the wage potentially varying based on location, experience, staffing needs, and other business reasons. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
