About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a full-time Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role involves preparing meals according to planned menus and recipes, maintaining food quality and presentation, following food-safety and sanitation practices, and supporting kitchen inventory and supply ordering. The Cook is also expected to provide positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests and perform other duties as assigned. The position has rotating AM and PM shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
Follow food-safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
