About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Cook preparing nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role involves preparing and cooking meals according to planned menus and recipes, maintaining food quality and presentation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, and supporting kitchen inventory needs. Cooks interact with residents, staff, and guests while providing customer service. The position is full time on PM shifts and pays $19.00–$20.00 per hour, with wages varying based on factors such as location, experience, and staffing needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods and perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
