Dietary Aide – Senior Living
About The Position
Allegro Winter Park is hiring part-time Dietary Aides for its senior living dining team in Winter Park, Florida. The role serves meals and beverages to residents and guests, supports dining room operations and kitchen tasks, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Morning and afternoon shifts are available, with a rotating schedule and no late nights. The position offers 8–34 hours per week at $15.00 per hour, with multiple openings available. The primary responsibility is to accommodate residents and guests during their dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner. Allegro Winter Park is an Assisted Living and Memory Care community and is part of the Senior Living by Allegro family of communities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must pay attention to detail, be flexible and adaptable, demonstrate safety awareness, and be a team player.
- Must pass a positive criminal background screening.
- Associates are subject to the company Drug Free Workplace policy.
- Must be dependable and flexible with a rotating schedule.
Nice To Haves
- Senior living dining experience preferred.
- Food serving experience preferred.
- A friendly, patient, and service-oriented personality.
Responsibilities
- Serve meals and beverages to residents in a warm, attentive, respectful, efficient, and professional manner.
- Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner, and interact with them in a friendly, service-oriented way.
- Assist with dining room setup, table service, and post-meal breakdown.
- Clear tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, and other items according to company protocol.
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation and plating as needed.
- Honor resident dietary preferences and individual requests.
- Maintain a clean dining room and dining environment; wipe down and sanitize chairs, windows, floors, and work areas after every meal period.
- Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents’ apartments as needed.
- Label and date all food.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
