About The Position

Vancrest seeks Dietary Aides to help provide residents with a high-quality dining experience and nutritious meals. The role supports meal preparation and service, follows established dietary procedures, and coordinates with facility departments and food-service staff. The posting offers full-time first-shift and part-time second-shift schedules.

Responsibilities

Review menus before food preparation.
Inspect special-diet trays to ensure they are correct.
Complete necessary forms and reports and submit them to the Director of Food Services.
Coordinate dietary service with other departments as needed.
Work with the facility’s Dietician, Dietetic Technician, and other Supervisors, implementing recommended changes as required.
Follow dietary procedures in accordance with established policies.
Help establish the food-service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
Process diet changes and new diets received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
Ensure utensils and related items are available for the next meal.
Help inventory and store incoming food and supplies as needed.
