About The Position

The Dietary Aide helps with meal preparation, delivery, meal service, and clean-up in accordance with current regulatory standards and the established policies and procedures of the Department of Food & Nutrition Services. The role supports a clean, safe, and sanitary food-service environment and promotes positive customer service to residents, family members, guests, and team members.

Requirements

• A ROCKSTAR attitude.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, communicate effectively, and carry out verbal and/or written instructions.
• Food Handlers Certification, to be presented during orientation and before working in the kitchen.
• Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook with food preparation and meal delivery, and/or collect and wash dishes and utensils according to shift assignments.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Handle chemicals and cleaning compounds properly, using personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.
• Keep work areas clean and safe in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Complete scheduled cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing walls and equipment while wearing PPE as instructed by the supervisor.
• Use equipment safely and promptly report equipment that needs service or repair.
• Follow appropriate workplace behavior and the Department of Food & Nutrition Services dress code.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with FPACP's attendance policy.
• Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
• Perform other duties as needed.
