About The Position

The Dietary Aide helps with meal preparation, delivery, meal service, and clean-up in accordance with current regulatory standards and the established policies and procedures of the Department of Food & Nutrition Services. The position supports safe, sanitary food-service operations and positive customer service for residents, family members, guests, and team members. Work is assigned as needed and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

• A ROCKSTAR attitude.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, communicate effectively, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Food Handlers Certification must be presented during orientation or before working in the kitchen.
• Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, including lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook with food preparation and delivery, and/or collect and wash dishes and utensils according to shift assignments.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Handle chemicals and cleaning compounds properly, use personal protective equipment, and follow safety guidelines.
• Keep work areas clean and safe in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Perform scheduled cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing walls and equipment, while using PPE as instructed.
• Use equipment safely and immediately report equipment that needs service or repair.
• Follow appropriate workplace behavior and the Department of Food & Nutrition Services dress code.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the company attendance policy.
• Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
• Perform other duties as needed.
