About The Position

Carolina Reserve of Hendersonville, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist with the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. The role supports high-quality food service by following instructions, planned menus, production sheets, and established standards. The position requires working every other weekend or every Saturday. The Dietary Aide prepares and portions food for regular and therapeutic diets, follows safe food-handling procedures, maintains and records food temperatures, and ensures food is presented attractively and meets quality standards. The role also involves serving partner meals and communicating warmly and professionally with residents, patients, clients, family members, and visitors. The community offers access to Tapcheck, a mobile app that allows team members to access earned wages before payday.

Requirements

At least a 10th-grade education.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Effective communication skills.
Availability to work every other weekend or every Saturday.

Responsibilities

Prepare and/or pre-portion food, including beverages, salads, desserts, and other assigned items, for regular and therapeutic diets according to menus, production sheets, and supervisor direction.
Handle food using proper food-handling and food-safety techniques in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Ensure food is served in an attractive and appetizing manner.
Use proper tasting techniques to verify quality standards before service.
Maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service.
Record food temperatures according to established policy.
Follow procedures for serving partner meals.
Communicate warmly and professionally with residents, patients, clients, family members, and visitors; respond to expressed concerns with a helpful and caring demeanor.
Answer questions appropriately and professionally.
