About The Position

Carolina Reserve of Laurel Park, a community of Navion Senior Living, is hiring a full-time Dietary Aide to assist with preparing, overseeing, and serving meals in an assisted living community. The role supports high-quality food service by following instructions, planned menus, production sheets, and established standards. Dietary Aides prepare and portion food for regular and therapeutic diets, follow food-safety procedures, maintain and record food temperatures, and help ensure meals are served attractively and meet quality standards. The position also involves communicating warmly and professionally with residents, clients, patients, families, and visitors. The community offers access to Tapcheck, a mobile app that lets team members access earned wages before payday.

Requirements

Possess at least a 10th-grade education.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Prepare and/or portion food, including beverages, salads, desserts, and other assigned items, for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menus, production sheets, and supervisor direction.
Handle food using proper food-handling and food-safety techniques in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Serve food attractively and appetizingly, and use proper tasting techniques to check that quality standards are met before service.
Maintain food at the proper temperature during preparation and service, and record food temperatures according to policy.
Follow procedures for serving partner meals.
Communicate warmly and professionally with residents, patients, clients, family members, and visitors; respond to concerns with a helpful and caring demeanor and answer questions when appropriate.
