About The Position

Carolina Reserve of Laurel Park is seeking a Food Service Director to lead and oversee its food service program. The role includes planning and directing food service operations; preparing and serving meals; maintaining sanitation in food service areas; keeping accurate records; receiving, rotating, and managing product inventory; and ensuring regulatory compliance. The position involves leading a team and serving seniors in a team environment. This is a full-time opportunity. The facility has partnered with Tapcheck, a mobile app that lets team members access earned wages before payday.

Requirements

Maintain a current ServSafe food services sanitation certificate, or be able to participate in food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified.
Past food service leadership experience, including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
High school diploma or GED accepted.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Competence in organizational and time management skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to serve seniors in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred.
