About The Position
Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine is hiring a Food Service Worker / Dietary Aide for its new 64-bed acute inpatient behavioral health hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. The hospital serves adults and geriatric patients in crisis and provides short-term stabilization for behavioral health and substance use disorders in partnership with National Health Corporation (NHC), Tennova Healthcare, and the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The role supports patient care by preparing and serving meals, following therapeutic and modified diet guidelines, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards. The worker must ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Interest in food service and healthcare.
- Willingness to learn food preparation, modified diets, and safety procedures.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe certification (if required).
